Wireless data channels built with long-range Wi-Fi and radio relay technologies
Wireless data channels built with long-range Wi-Fi and radio relay technologies allow data to be transmitted over long distances, which can be measured in tens or in some cases even hundreds of kilometers at speeds from a few megabits to a few gigabits per second. The use of wireless communication allows to obtain data transmission channels in areas with difficult geographical conditions (mountains, forests, gorges, rivers, swamps) where the laying of fiber-optic lines is impossible or economically impractical. Also, this type of communication channel differs in the speed of deployment, because such deployment includes only the installation of stations at the start, end and, possibly, intermediate points without the need to lay a cable throughout all route. The simplicity and relatively low cost of wireless channels allows use of this type of communication as a backup, ensuring the redundancy of existing terrestrial data lines.
