ATMs
ATMs and self-service terminals are essential components of a financial institution’s infrastructure, providing clients with round-the-clock access to services. Reliable connectivity for these devices is crucial to ensure their uninterrupted operation and the security of transactions.
ATMs
ATMs and self-service terminals are key elements of modern banking services, enabling clients to access financial services at convenient times and locations. However, establishing dependable connectivity for these devices often comes with significant challenges:
- Lack of Wired Communication Infrastructure
Connecting ATMs and terminals to the bank’s network via wired connections can be complex and costly, particularly in remote or hard-to-reach areas. For instance, setting up wired connections in rural regions or newly developed areas may require substantial investment in cable installation and equipment setup.
- Delays in Connectivity
Banks frequently relocate ATMs and terminals to better serve their customers. Setting up wired connections at new locations every time can be both impractical and costly. This process may result in delays in connecting new devices, negatively affecting service availability for clients.
- Service Delays
Connectivity issues can lead to ATM and terminal downtime, causing inconvenience for clients and financial losses for the bank. Clients expect functional ATMs and terminals when they encounter them. If a device is non-operational due to connectivity problems, it results in frustration and dissatisfaction, lowering trust in the bank.
- Wireless Network Security
Using wireless technologies to connect ATMs and terminals introduces certain risks. Inadequately protected wireless networks can become targets for hackers and cybercriminals, potentially leading to data theft or other severe consequences.
To address these challenges and minimize downtime, Infocom offers wireless connectivity solutions featuring our proprietary RDT-33 wired and wireless router. Designed with user feedback and based on years of experience with its predecessor, which ensured stable and secure operation for approximately 1500 ATMs, terminals, and payment kiosks nationwide, this router is optimized for enhanced performance. It also supports active redundancy for bank branches.
The RDT-33 router uses two cellular networks simultaneously, providing constant active data channel redundancy. This guarantees reliable and fast access to the bank’s processing center, regardless of the ATM or terminal’s location.
Infocom ensures the continuity and security of your ATMs and self-service terminals, giving your clients reliable access to banking services anytime, anywhere.
