Wireless Channels
WIRELESS DATA TRANSMISSION CHANNELS
Wireless communication channels offer users high flexibility and mobility, ensuring reliable and fast access to information resources regardless of geographic location. These channels can be deployed rapidly to establish network infrastructure in remote or hard-to-reach areas while traditional communication networks, such as optical lines, are under construction. Wireless solutions also provide temporary connectivity during emergencies or maintenance, ensuring uninterrupted network access.
We offer two options for building wireless channels for corporate network or Internet access — using long-range Wi-Fi technology or the RDT-33 wired and wireless VPN router.
Data transmission channels built using long-range Wi-Fi technology can cover significant distances — up to tens or even hundreds of kilometers at speeds of up to 150 Mbps. Wireless connectivity facilitates access to corporate networks or the Internet in areas with challenging geographic conditions (mountains, forests, ravines, rivers, or marshlands) where laying fiber-optic lines is either impossible or economically inefficient. This type of channel deployment is notable for its rapid setup, requiring only the installation of transceiver stations at the initial, terminal, and, if necessary, intermediate points.
The transition of mobile operators to faster data transmission standards and the expansion of national coverage have created new opportunities for building secure wireless channels. Leveraging cellular networks as transport infrastructure enables service deployment wherever coverage exists while providing users with exceptional mobility.
To support such channels, Infocom engineers developed the RDT-33, a versatile VPN router for wired and wireless connections. This compact, industrial-grade device was designed with user preferences and Infocom’s extensive experience in network solutions development in mind.
