New SmokeLoader virus
Recently, the State Cyber Protection Center of the State Special Communications Service conducted a study on the malicious software SmokeLoader. Once inside the operating system, the virus triggers unauthorized payments, putting accountants’ work devices at the highest risk. It typically starts with hacker email campaigns on the subject of “invoice/payment” with an attachment in the form of a ZIP archive. You can protect yourself at this stage by not opening emails from unknown addresses. Additionally, blocking the execution of wscript.exe on your PC is advisable. SmokeLoader is aimed at accessing remote banking systems, stealing authentication data, and initiating unauthorized payments.
